I got the job!

After graduating, I applied to a few job postings and went on a couple of interviews. The first interview turned out to be for a temp agency, which I'm not interested in, but it was good practice. The second interview was for the job I really wanted. It's a good position at an organization I like, and the team I met with seemed very supportive and skilled. I was nervous, but I think it went well. Today, I got the call with the job offer! I am happy that I got the job I wanted, but I'm also extremely nervous about actually doing the job. Pretty sure I had a minor panic attack after the call (heavy breathing and some crying).

Update: I feel better the next day. Still anxious but not depressed. I got my pre-employment meeting with HR on July 5th.

Graduated with my MAcc!

Finished my last exam on May 7th, and today, May 25th, I officially received my (digital) diploma for my Master's of Accountancy. What a long, winding road it's been for me. I think I'm finally on track.

Won a TGCF Manhua Giveaway!!

Bond on Twitter (@headBONDmeLWJ) does so many giveaways for MDZS/The Untamed/TGCF, and after many months and RTs, I actually won one! Well, actually, my friend Aida (@preciousjiyoung) won, and she tagged me as a bonus winner (after I tagged her in my entry lol).

We both won the gorgeous TGCF manhua Vol 1 by MXTX & StarEmber, and it came with more beautiful postcards, bookmarks, and stickers. It is the most beautiful graphic novel I've ever seen!

I Won TSO Concert Tix!

I entered a local radio station's contest and won 4 tickets to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra live in concert! This is the radio station we picked up the tickets from and the arena stage pre-show.

The show was SPECTACULAR!
Awesome mix of classical orchestra and rock band with talented vocalists.
This is one of TSO's most famous song:

The laser lights and pyrotechnics show was breathtaking!

The guitarists walked around the arena at one point, and this guy stopped right by our row.

Look at that finale!!

Amazing Shopping Spree & Prize Drawing

Amazing Jewelry & More threw a one-year anniversary party w/ treats & specials for preferred customers (on their email list). They served Firehouse Subs ham/turkey sandwiches w/ dill pickle & brownie, fruit/veggie/cheese platters, & sodas/wines. They even had a great singer/guitarist performing and a cute mermaid. ^^

They did prize drawings for special gift bags every 15 minutes, and since I had time, I kept sticking around for "a little while longer," until it was practically for the whole event, from 5pm-8pm. XD; Of course, staying in an accessories shop for 3 hours inevitably resulted in a shopping spree. ^^;; Their business strategy certainly worked on me! My haul:

Buy 3, Get 1 Free Sandy Snaps: $3 x 3 (+1) = $9. Cat hair clip: $3.

Lotus/Lily Pad Necklace & Earrings Set: $4. Custom-Made Magnetic Dark Blue Stone Bracelet: $8. Light-up Oinking Piggy Clip-on Keychain: $5.

Tree of Life Sandy Snap (base) Necklace: $7. Fairy Sandy Snap (button): $7.

Total: $43 - 2 x ($10 off every $20) = $23. Pretty good deal!

Each customer received a free goodie bag. Mine contained a wood(?) spiral "bangle-style" bracelet, an owl charm bracelet (good thing I didn't buy this), & a sample of artisan soap.

Finally, after almost 3 hours (& several voided selections b/c the customers had already left), my name was called! I won the second-to-last prize drawing! XD The gift bag is so pretty. The prize inside is even prettier: a layered gold chain necklace!

 Bonus: sample of artisan soap.

Overall, a pretty good night. =)
