Golden Dragon Acrobats

Loved watching the Golden Dragon Acrobats again! I saw them when I was young (and saw some similar shows in China since then), but it was a wonderful show to see again. Loved all the amazing, incredibly skilled acts, plus the music and costumes. What they accomplish with only a company of 20 performers is astounding. Truly worth the (discounted) price of tix.

Guys and Dolls!

Went to see a local production of the classic musical Guys and Dolls, and it was really fun!

Great songs ("Luck Be a Lady", "I've Never Been in Love Before", "More I Cannot Wish You", etc.), witty script, cute romance (Sarah/Sky otp), and funny shenanigans. :D Mostly solid performances all around, but the breakout star was the actress who played Sarah; beautiful voice w/ great technique & control.

March Library Activities

March 2: This month's Upcycling Class project is coasters made from tiles, old books, Mod Podge glue, & polyurethane spray.
It was simple and a lot of fun to make. We left ours at the library overnight to dry.
March 3: Picked up our finished coasters!
Mom's set is from Heidi.
My set is from a book of nursery rhymes (first published in 1916!) (The Tarts, Young Roger & Dolly, Bunch of Blue Ribbon, Curly-Locks, Mary Mary Quite Contrary, See-Saw).

Purple Hyacinth

Feb 28: Bought a lovely, fragrant, blooming purple hyacinth from Aldi.
March 1: second bloom.

 March 3: full bloom.
