Kittens: 33 Weeks, 1 Day Old (Ping's Battle)

While Oreo and Georgie fought their nemesis, Target Bag, Ping found his own adversary: Office Box. We store a few file boxes of old office supplies in the corner, and the kitties regularly run around, jump on and off, and topple it over, as seen here:

Well, today Box had had enough. Ping tried to jump on the top Box and knocked it right off the stack, which was already shifted unstable from the kittens' playing. Anyway, I guess Ping is so heavy that he dragged it backwards when he sunk his claws in it. The Box fell with Ping still attached, and it landed sideways on poor Ping!! I'm not sure how much of Ping's body broke the Box's fall (I just saw Ping's legs sticking out from the gap between boxes), but Ping crawled out of the space a couple of seconds later.

The Box wasn't full or that heavy, and Ping just walked away, but cats don't like to show pain or discomfort so we worried that Ping's body had been crushed or bruised by the Box. Ping did stop playing to just lie down in a (different) box for awhile. And when we pet Ping, he looked relaxed and pleased until he suddenly turned and nipped at Mom, who suspected that she hit a sore spot and upset Ping.

Ping rested for a bit then got up and jumped on the table, so we knew he could move okay, but he did not chase the laser dot with the other 2, just watched. We'll see how he behaves tomorrow.

Update: Ping seems fine the next day. I think he's back to normal, though he did nip at me when I pet him a lot (probably just impatient XD;).
