Marvel Movie Marathon

Had an epic binge-watch weekend with R, Sara, Amanda, and her friend Krysti, who is a fellow comic book fan, but more on the Marvel side. (I repped DC with my geek tees. ;) Amanda was kind enough to host it at her apartment, which is very cute, clean, and geek chic, and we played with her 2 adorable kitties. ^_^ Sara had only seen Thor, so we caught her up with the "Marvel Cinematic Universe," which includes:

Phase One:
  1. Iron Man
  2. The Incredible Hulk
  3. Iron Man 2
  4. Thor (skipped because Sara had already seen it)
  5. Captain America: The First Avenger
  6. The Avengers
Phase Two:
  1. Iron Man 3
  2. Thor: The Dark World
  3. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
  4. Guardians of the Galaxy
  5. Avengers 2: Age of Ultron (not released on DVD yet)
  6. Ant-Man (not released on DVD yet)
So yes, NINE movies in two days! SO much fun watching with the gal pals and running commentary together like Mystery Science Theater, making funny observations and irreverent jokes. From Sara's first impressions to Krysti's Marvel expertise, I loved how everyone contributed and riffed off the movies and each other. Lots of laughs. XD

We also watched 1 of the 5 MCU shorts, Agent Carter (because she's awesome). (MCU also includes the TV series Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter, plus Netflix series Daredevil, but of course that takes up a lot of time and is not really necessary to enjoy the MCU films. I did rec Carter again though.)

In between the movies and funny YouTube videos, we snacked on a variety of chips (Amanda & Krysti), dried mango (R & I), and patriotic "Cap" cakes (Sara). We stopped to get take-out lunch from the nearby Chinese buffet and later ordered Domino's pizza for dinner (Sara and I learned we are "pizza twins" who like veggies but not thin crust because it's like eating a cracker lol).

By the end, we were all pretty tired, but we had such a great time together! I hope we get the chance to do it again soon. :D
