Happy Birthday, T-ville!

On Saturday, we stopped by the Sears parking lot for the Strawberry Festival, which had stands for strawberries, of course, and strawberry-filled baked goods, plus fresh produce, jewelry, accessories, clothes, cosmetics, and antiques, a few food trucks, and best of all, a pirate ship!
We bought a couple of small jars of local wildflower raw honey (hopefully it'll help with my allergies ><) and a mineral stone pendant with a peacock charm for M's birthday. ^^

And speaking of birthdays, today we went to the Sesquicentennial Birthday Celebration of T-ville! Yes, T-ville is 150 years old this year! (Too bad I missed the library history presentations on the town's founding, Native American and African American communities, and the space program.)

The "community picnic" was small and sad-looking, but the people were friendly and cheerful, which pretty much sums up T-ville. ;P
There were only a few food trucks and sponsor stands, plus an improv comedy duo and a sheet cake, but at least the Reel Pit BBQ was tasty and the weather was pleasant. ^^

This "flying pig" greatly amused me. XD
