Kittens: 1Y, 5M, 3W, 5D Old + New Kitty House

M bought the kitties a new cardboard scratcher house for Christmas! The cats still use the old one, but it's quite beaten up, bent, and taped together. The scratch board is half clawed away, but they like it because it's comfy.

The new house has many upgrades. Gingerbread house design (rather than plain white), 4 "windowpane" holes (instead of 2), and a plastic rattle ball attachment (much better than the original's cardboard snowflake, which was destroyed in a couple of weeks). It's so cute, and the kitties love the ball (though they prefer to play with it rolling around free on the floor, rather than hanging over the house's "door").

After I assembled the new house, each kitty sniffed, scratched, explored, and lied down in their new house. It quickly became Georgie's favorite new spot to rest. (Ping and Mammao prefer their couch. Oreo sometimes uses the old house, but I think we'll get her a new box to call her own.)

Bonus: Kitties playing with a Christmas bow.

On Dec. 28th, the kitties will be 18 months old! Our baby kittens are young adult cats now. (But we'll still call them babies. <3 ;)
